There are nearly 900 pre-K through eighth grade Title I schools in the state. The IDOE used student performance on ISTEP+, an interview with the school’s principal, Jayson Snyder, and a school site visit to make the determination. More than 80 percent of Meadow’s Edge students passed math and English/language arts in ISTEP in 2013.
