Healthcare services in Penn-Harris-Madison schools are provided by St. Joseph Regional Medical Center utilizing both registered nurses and health aides. Health care providers respond to emergencies and work with students and parents to improve student wellness in order to support learning.

2014-2015 School Year Indiana State Department of Health School Immunization Requirements

The Indiana State Department of Health has updated the immunization requirements for the 2014-2015 school year. Here are the changes to the requirements:

  • Incoming kindergarten students must have 2 Hepatitis A vaccinations (new requirement) by the first day of school in August.
  • For current 11th grade students to enter the 12th grade in the fall, you must have a second dose of the meningococcal vaccine (new requirement) by the first day of school in August.
  • For current 5th grade students to enter the 6th grade in the fall, you must have a Tdap, Meningococcal, and 2 varicella vaccines by the first day of school in August.
